It’s an undeniable truth that The Force is strong in my family, and with STAR WARS being bigger than ever, we’re constantly finding new ways to enjoy and expand our connection to a galaxy far, far away. Just as it was when my wife and I were kids that were immersed in the Star Wars Saga during its original 1977-1983 run, there’s a ton of tie-in merchandise that brings the fun into unexpected areas, and with the new film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story© (™Lucasfilm LTD) headed for theaters on December 16, the folks at Kleenex® Brand are blasting into hyperspace, helping families share quality time together through moments of care – like sharing a tissue from a limited-edition box featuring Rogue One designs!
It doesn’t matter if your personal allegiance lies with Jyn Erso and her band of budding Rebels, or Director Krennic and his rising power within The Empire, everyone could use the care of a Kleenex tissue from time to time, and the limited-edition Rogue One boxes sport stylish art representing both Rebel and Imperial forces on opposite sides. Appropriately, the Imperial-turned-Rebel Droid K-2SO is featured on the top of each box.
Bonus: While it’s important to share your love of The Force and not your cold, you can also bring that Kleenex care into the crafting realm, creating a simple room light using an empty box. After you’ve removed the last tissue, carefully remove the thin plastic from around the opening in the top of the box. Using a push pin (or possibly a hole punch for certain spots), poke random holes in the sides of the box. Then, place one of those LED faux tealight candles inside (it should be a given – but never use a real candle!), and you’ve got a DIY starfield room light crafted using your limited edition Kleenex box with Rogue One designs!
