If you read THE ROCK FATHER regularly (and I sure hope that you do), then you already know that there’s a ton of great family music out there that escapes the mainstream radar. For the youngest rockers, that music often skews toward lullabies based upon the works of popular artists – an increasingly busy field dominated by a few companies of note, such as my friends at Roma Music Group and their massive library of Twinkle Twinkle Little Rock Star titles. While the “bigger” artists get lullabied regularly (sometimes by multiple labels), the folks at Sparrow Sleeps are focusing on a more niche market, with the subjects of their work often involved in the release of these nursery-friendly counterparts. Casey Cole and Peter Lockhart describe themselves as “two midwestern guys with pop-punk fueled hearts,” and that shows through their releases, which lullaby fan favorite tracks from artists such as MXPX, THRICE, HOT ROD CIRCUIT and CARTEL. Today comes their latest release, THE CRIER – lullaby renditions of your favorite SENSES FAIL songs.
THE CRIER Tracklisting:
- The Rapture

Sparrow Sleeps is named for Casey’s daughter, Sparrow, for whom he was initially creating lullabies. After sharing a few online, Sparrow Sleeps was born.
