Today could be the greatest day for any guitarist with chops worthy of joining Chicago’s Smashing Pumpkins.
Following the departure of Jeff Schroeder last fall, the core band — Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin — is seeking a replacement for the 16-year Smashing Pumpkins vet.
