“Sprout is dedicated to creating engaging and interactive experiences to preschoolers and parents. We strive to find the very best programs that families can enjoy together, and Zou, Sarah & Duck, Stella and Sam all meet that demand.” Andrew Beecham, Senior Vice President of programming at Sprout

SARAH & DUCK

sarahduckThe popular British series Sarah & Duck will make its U.S. premiere on Sprout, marking the first-ever deal between BBC Worldwide and the network.  The show follows the adventures of Sarah and her loud, quacky best friend Duck, as they explore their world in their own wobbly and imaginative way. The charming and quirky animated series focuses on the day-to-day new experiences and learnings of childhood. Sarah & Duck will premiere on Monday, Aug. 19 as part of Sprout’s live, hosted Sunny Side Up Show morning block. Sarah & Duck is a Karrot Entertainment Production with CBeebies and BBC Worldwide, created by Sarah Gomes Harris and Tim O’Sullivan, produced by Jamie Badminton and Executive Produced by Chris White, Alison Stewart, and Henrietta Hurford-Jones.

ZOU

zouThe French animated series Zou will debut on Monday, Sept. 2 during The Sunny Side Up Show. Zou, which airs in more than 100 countries, is based on the hugely successful books by Michel Gay and created, produced and distributed by the Cyber Group Studios. Zou is all about growing up and the relationships between family members and friends. The 3D CGI sit-com features a lovable five-year old Zebra (nicknamed “Zou”) and his extended family, as he explores with warmth and humor the world around him. Zou brings a new sense of discovery and exploration to each day since he is at the age where his horizons are expanding. His inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn provide a unique look into the world of growing up.

STELLA and SAM

stellasamThe award-winning Stella and Sam will debut on Nov. 1. Based on the best-selling book series by world-renowned Canadian author and illustrator Marie-Louise Gay, Stella and Sam captures the joy and wonder of childhood. With wild red hair and an imagination to match, nine-year-old Stella is truly a ‘star’ in the eyes of her younger brother Sam. Stella, who does ninety-nine things a day and wouldn’t dream of leaving Sam out of the fun, explores the world in all its seasons with wild adventures and comical mishaps. In each episode, the pair makes friends and discovers many things – especially about themselves, and growing up. Stella and Sam is licensed by Bejuba! Entertainment and produced by Radical Sheep Productions.

Sprout has been a huge fixture in our home since we first discovered it nearly four years ago. While Addie will be four next month, little Finley is just starting to get into Sprout as well, with THE SUNNY SIDE UP SHOW, THE GOODNIGHT SHOW, CAILLOU, and PAJANIMALS all part of our regular viewing. Remember that time When Addie met Chica, Carly, and Sportacus? Quite an adventure… and pssst! THE CHICA SHOW kicks off it’s new season on July 29. Check out SproutOnline for details.
