My wife and I saw SPY when it was released theatrically this past June, and I felt it was one of this summer’s biggest surprises. Director Paul Feig’s action/comedy comes home on Blu-ray and DVD on September 29, following a Digital HD release on September 4th. Starring Melissa McCarthy as an unlikely CIA hero stepping in for Jude Law’s James Bond-ish spot, the home release features “15 classified alternate scenes and three redacted scenes, featuring Jason Statham as you’ve never seen him and outrageous performances by the rest of the cast, including Miranda Hart, Allison Janney, Bobby Cannavale, Peter Serafinowicz, and 50 Cent.” That’s in addition to a host of bonus features.
