The Rubik’s Cube is an undeniable classic, and a puzzle that I’ve owned several of over the years. For the past few, I’ve had the Icon Edition here in my office (I’m not good with these, so it remains unsolved) and recently we received a couple of new additions that make great stocking stuffers. The Rubik’s 2×2 and the Rubik’s Key Ring are both miniature cubes that make the Rubik’s experience even more portable, and the 2×2 is fantastic for kids and beginners.
The Rubik’s 2×2 features a new mechanical design which allows for smoother play that’s faster and more reliable – and there are NO STICKERS! No stickers means no cheating!
It’s available from my affiliate, Amazon, or direct from Winning Moves.
The Rubik’s Key Ring is a tiny, 3×3 version of the cube (this one does have stickers), that is recommended for ages 7+. I’ve been carrying mine for a bit, and have a habit of making it look like K.I.T.T.’s voice modulator from KNIGHT RIDER (which you may have seen me tweet or instagram about a month ago).
It’s a fine tool for avoiding the smartphone trappings of time-passing, allowing a little bit of hands-on fun wherever you may be.
There’s still time to find these great Rubik’s items for Christmas via your local retailer, or online via Amazon right now:
