Takis, renowned for its intensely spicy rolled tortilla chips, has unveiled its newest product, Takis Cobra, featuring a fiery Worcestershire sauce flavor. The latest addition to the snack lineup aims to capture the fierce intensity of a cobra’s strike with each bite.
Last month, Takis Cobra debuted in a 9.9 oz sharing size exclusively at Kroger stores. A 3.25 oz individual size will follow, hitting 7-Eleven shelves on July 8.
“We’re always looking for ways to celebrate the innovative, trailblazing energy of our fans, and we’re taking it up a notch with the debut of a unique, fierce flavor from Takis Cobra,” says Sandra Kirkpatrick, Senior Marketing Director for Takis. “Our fans crave the latest and greatest flavors, so we’re excited to introduce something unlike anything else in today’s snack market.”
To mark the exclusive launch, Takis is hosting a special light projection event in Cincinnati from June 6-8. The projection will illuminate downtown hotspots, including the areas around Great American Ball Park and Duke Energy Convention Center, each night.
In an effort to promote sustainability, Takis continues its partnership with international recycling leader TerraCycle. Consumers can recycle Takis Cobra packaging through TerraCycle’s free recycling program. Participants can earn donations for schools and nonprofits by mailing in packaging with a prepaid shipping label provided upon signing up on TerraCycle.com.
