cover-georgian-skullThey baited, hooked, and lured me in with the promise of an album carrying the influence of BLACK SABBATH, LED ZEPPELIN, THIN LIZZY, CLUTCH, PANTERA, and ENTOMBED. Unfortunately, the Canadian metal act known as THE GEORGIAN SKULL are a bunch of liars.

MOTHER ARMAGEDDON, HEALING APOCALYPSE (out March 22, 2011 via Scarlet Records) is a slap in the face to all lovers of sludge, doom, and groove metal. A distorted mess that surrounds a couple decent riffs every few songs, this is one of those albums that makes you wonder what idiot thought this was worth releasing through a label. I’d share with you an album highlight, but The Georgian Skull didn’t bother recording one. I’ve heard farts that came out cleaner with better tone.

Rating: 0.5/5 Stars (and thats just for the cover art)
