As of this writing, we’re just about three months out from Christmas, and that means that the news is starting to roll in at a furious pace when it comes to a fresh dose of holiday cheer for 2017. If you happen to be the kind of “Scrooge” that will complain about it being “too early” to talk holiday entertainment, remember that this is not something new. What we have today is the first trailer for THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS, a new tale based on the true story of how author Charles Dickens (played by Dan Stevens of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast) was inspired to pen one of the most famous holiday stories of all time, A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Check out the preview below, and look for the film to hit theaters on November 22.
The Man Who Invented Christmas tells of the magical journey that led to the creation of Ebenezer Scrooge (Christopher Plummer), Tiny Tim and other classic characters from A Christmas Carol. Directed by Bharat Nalluri (MISS PETTIGREW LIVES FOR A DAY), the film shows how Charles Dickens (Dan Stevens) mixed real life inspirations with his vivid imagination to conjure up unforgettable characters and a timeless tale, forever changing the holiday season into the celebration we know today.
