The folks over at Step2 just updated their site with New items for the fall, and two new items caught my eye for gardening purposes: the 40-Gallon Rain Barrel
and the Garden Cart and Dolly
.
We have a rain barrel here at Rock Father HQ, but it’s a homemade contraption that came with the house when we bought it. Love the concept, but it was poorly executed and I’ve been thinking of replacing it. This model from Step2 is not only eye-catching, but I like the fact that the top can be used as a planter.
One of the problems with ours is that whoever made it left a mesh at the top prime for mosquitos to get in there and nest. The Step2 model features a secure lid that prevents that from happening.
The Garden Cart and Dolly is intriguing as it’s practically a Transformer: part wheelbarrow, part dolly.
I just moved my compost bin a couple of weeks ago (by hand) and this would’ve come in mighty handy…
With Fall cleanup just around the corner, this 2-in-1 garden cart just might have to be purchased.
