I have been deflecting the same question (or variations of it) every February/March for roughly a decade now: “Will we be seeing you at SXSW?” Despite working in various disciplines that are represented at the annual festival in Austin (Music, Film, Interactive), I’ve never gone. Each year, I answer a growing number of emails (probably 200+ this year) with variations on the same answer: “Maybe next year.” I just don’t do a lot of conferences (and when I do, someone else is paying), so for folks like me, it helps when someone else rocks some good coverage.
