Ready to have some fun this Friday the 13th? The Toy Insider and The Orb Factory are throwing the #HowDoYouMorphIt Twitter Party (RSVP Now!) from 11am-12pm ET, and The Rock Father is a co-host! We'll be talking toys, and sharing all the info about Morph - the new compound that you have to play with to believe... it's fluffy, it floats, it bounces and it holds it's shape! And of course, we're giving some Morph away. Just check out how cool this stuff is...
It's a crisp 5° here at Rock Father HQ as I write this, but it's never too early to be thinking about spring (and summer) while the dead of winter continues to set in. A new year means new toys, and 2017 is already shaping up to be a big one - and we haven't even hit Toy Fair yet! One of the first items to become available is the PAW Patrol Water Table by The Step2 Company. Produced under license from Spin Master, this new table brings the excitement of Adventure Bay into the water play realm, complete with fun action features and a trio of included characters from the hit Nick Jr. series - Marshall, Skye and Zuma! The second PAW Patrol item from Step2 following the excellent Lookout Climber (reviewed here), to get a new year of toys kicked off right, Step2 and The Rock Father have teamed up to give readers a chance to win one of these great water tables for your house!
A Monster Calls opened in limited release last month, quickly winning acclaim from both audiences and critics alike. Now, the film is expanding to wide release, hitting 1,500 screens in the United States beginning January 6, and in celebration, Focus Features and THE ROCK FATHER Magazine have teamed-up to give you a shot at winning a beautiful prize pack. Two (2) lucky readers will receive an A Monster Calls novel signed by writer Patrick Ness and director J.A. Bayona, a copy of the A Monster Calls soundtrack composed by Fernando Velázquez, and an A Monster Calls Adult Coloring Book (not available for purchase!). Enter below!
This Rock Father Kitchen feature has been brought to you in partnership with Pampered Chef.
As we close the book on 2016 and enter 2017, now is the perfect time to make a renewed commitment to cooking at home. Personally, I always avoid saying that anything is a "resolution," but I do like taking stock of things and refocusing for each new year. Eating at home is important, and like so many, we do stray the path, but always come back to teaching our children the joy and importance of making their own meals (and memories). The Kids' Cooking Set by Pampered Chef is a new addition to our kitchen, and one that embraces kids' seemingly natural love of two things: pizza and cookies.
Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po are back! If you'd have told me twenty years ago that I'd be writing about Teletubbies two decades in the future, I wouldn't have believed it, as I was working in a store back when the Teletubbies craze first hit. It was something that I didn't understand back then, but as a parent now, it's something I can appreciate. With new episodes airing daily on Nick Jr. and new toys hitting the 'States via Spin Master right now, the folks at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have just released TELETUBBIES: SNOWBALL on DVD, and we've teamed-up to offer readers a shot at a prize pack! One (1) lucky reader of THE ROCK FATHER Magazine will receive TELETUBBIES: SNOWBALL on DVD, plus the new Lullaby Laa-Laa Musical Night Light Plush Toy!
When it comes to classic holiday specials, you can't get much more "classic" than the old Rankin/Bass specials of the 60s and 70s - ones like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Comin' to Town - tales that are now passed along from generation to generation. Collectively known as the "Original Christmas Classics," several of these stories are out on Digital HD (iTunes) for the very first time through DreamWorks Classics (Classic Media), along with an Original Christmas Classics Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Collection. In celebration of the season, DreamWorks Classics and THE ROCK FATHER Magazine are giving you a chance to win the Blu-ray set so that you can share the tradition with your family.
