It's Monday, October 1, 2012 and that means it's time for The Rock Father's 31 Days of Halloween! Each day for the entire month of October, I'll be publishing a featured post that highlights something seasonally-appropriate. The list has already been chosen (though there might be "bonus" posts along the way) to be a spooky mix of music, movies, toys, food, and more. To get things started, here's the new video from PLAY DATE, a new kindie rock collaboration between Shanti Wintergate and Greg Attonito (The Bouncing Souls). Are you ready to "Dance Like A Monster"?
The folks over at Hartstrings just hit The Rock Father with details on a special sale that is taking place TODAY ONLY. Trick or Treat Sale! 50% off a Special Collection with coupon code TRICK925. This is an opportunity to snag some great savings on a selection of super-cute Halloween clothing for kids and infants.
For the first time ever, LEGO has issued an official Haunted House! Available just in-time for Halloween 2012, the Haunted House is a 2,064-piece set that runs $179.99 through the official Lego Shop. The Rock Father has all the additional (and impressive) specs below, along with current specials which include a FREE Exclusive LEGO Monster Fighters "Zombie Car" set with orders of $75 or more and Free Shipping!
The Halloween Shop is now open at Disney Store, and while they've got some incredible items overall (I'm big on the home decor), this week they're offering 25% off select Costume Accessories. While that's a sweet deal in itself, The Rock Father has the full rundown on money-saving offers currently in-progress at The Disney Store below!
Earlier this evening, acting on an anonymous tip, I was able to track down some old friends. Practically hidden on the bottom two shelves of an endcap deep within a local drug store, there they were: Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry - the General Mills Monster Cereals. Missing from the breakfast landscape for nearly a year, this trio of spooky delights has returned once more. Like the changing colors of the leaves and the cool autumn air, there's just some things you can always count on, and the arrival of the Monsters ranks among the best.
With only 51 Days until Halloween, the Seasonal Songs are starting to creep out, one of which is "Dance Like a Monster" from PLAY DATE. Featured on their forthcoming album, IMAGINATION (out October 9 on Fun Fun Records), "Dance Like a Monster" features an appearance by The Ghouligans, and will have a full-length music video released very soon. In the meantime, check out a short preview below...
