I've never been one to keep quiet the fact that I'm not a football fan (putting it politely). While I massively outgrew the game that consumes so many on a professional level each and every Sunday during this time of year, I have enjoyed a number of football-based movies over the years - films like WILDCATS (1986), NECESSARY ROUGHNESS (1991) and ANY GIVEN SUNDAY (1999). This year comes a new addition to my short list with 23 BLAST (Rated PG-13), an uplifting indie about tackling impossible challenges and finding hope where it seems there is none. In theaters this weekend, I caught an early look at the film and am highlighting it here on THE ROCK FATHER for your consideration...

WWESLAM CITY is getting bigger. WWE and Nickelodeon have announced that WWESlam City™ is coming to Nicktoons, making it's entrance tomorrow night (10/22) during the NickSports programming block from 9–11 p.m. (ET) on Nicktoons.  The 26-episode animated series has been featured here on THE ROCK FATHER before, and is comprised of two-minute shorts featuring WWE Superstars including John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, Kane and Mark Henry in a new animated world. Check out a recent short featuring Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton below...

WWEFor the past few weeks, my friends at WWE have been helping to raise funds and awareness for the efforts of Susan G. Komen and their mission to find a cure for breast cancer. With their third-annual partnership in full-effect, the second half of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month has begun, and now I'm calling on readers of THE ROCK FATHER to help spread the word with a tweet (details below), and in turn get a chance to win a really cool, WWE Authentic #CourageConquerCure t-shirt (Adult XL) - the same one that many of your favorite WWE Superstars and Divas have been wearing in and out of the ring this month. I will even ship it to you personally, in a really cool box, courtesy of WWE.

WWE"Breast cancer is not just an issue that affects women, it affects families," explained WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon as we met up in Chicago once more this past Monday to celebrate the launch of WWE's third annual partnership with Susan G. Komen in an effort to raise funds and awareness to smackdown the terrible disease that touches millions of families each year. "My mother-in-law is a breast cancer survivor," she continued, elaborating on how cancer is an issue with a very personal connection to her family, and one very concerning since she and husband Paul Levesque (Triple H) are raising three daughters of their own. As National Breast Cancer Awareness Month continues, WWE has "gone pink," and on the October 6 installment of Monday Night Raw on USA, there will be a few special guests...

WWEBeginning tonight in Chicago on MONDAY NIGHT RAW (for which we will be in attendance), WWE and SUSAN G. KOMEN will expand their partnership for their third annual breast cancer awareness campaign.

WWE Superstars and Divas will be wearing co-branded Susan G. Komen and WWE apparel as all WWE platforms go pink for the "Courage Conquer Cure" campaign, which will continue through National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October.

The Rock Father is a WWE Brand AmbassadorMy friends at WWE have a new ally in their effort to SmackDown bullying...

DoSomething.org has teamed up with WWE and The Creative Coalition's Be a STAR (Show Tolerance and Respect) Anti-Bullying Initiative for The Bully Text: Superstar Edition, a campaign that uses an SMS text message game to get young people to take action around bullying.

WWEHaving now taken the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and having made a donation to the cause myself, I'm not sure how many more videos I can post about it... but since her husband Triple H already stepped up, it's only appropriate to share the challenge video from WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon. Shot last night after her victorious match against Brie Bella at WWE SummerSlam in Los Angeles, Stephanie took on a full garbage can of ice to answer the challenge of Maria Menounos in an effort to raise funds and awareness for The ALS Association in their efforts to combat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) aka "Lou Gerhig's disease."

WWE DadsPittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger recently challenged WWE COO Triple H to take the Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise funds and awareness for the ALS Association in their efforts to combat Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) aka "Lou Gerhig's disease." This morning, right in front of Los Angeles' Staples Center - the battleground for this Sunday's WWE SummerSlam, Triple H answered the challenge and threw down a few of his own. Take a look...
