Rock Father vs. Rock Father – It’s been eleven weeks since James Zahn and Tom George (read the kick-off story here) began a year-long journey to not only lose weight, but get fit. These two Work-at-Home Dads had let time and their jobs take their toll on their personal well-being. For each week of the journey, we’ve been checking-in to find out how their efforts are paying off. This afternoon, Sunday, March 16, 2014, both men did their weigh-in… and these are the results.
JAMES ZAHN aka THE ROCK FATHER
Starting Weight: 328.4 | Last Week: 313 | Current Weight: 310
About Week 11, James states: “I can’t believe we’re eleven weeks into this already. Three pounds lost this week, which is sorta surprising because I did have a couple of meals at restaurants, but on all but one day, I did stay under my calorie goal. Those great lab results last week, plus another few pounds off is a win. I’d still like to amp things up an accelerate the weight loss, but time is a factor. But lack of time is how we got here in the first place. 10 more pounds to drop, and I’ll be under 300!”

Starting Weight: 396.4 | Last Week: 368.8 | Current Weight: 371.2
About Week 11, Tom states: “I gained 2.4 pounds this week. I haven’t been exercising for a few weeks now due to our added publicity workload. Added stress + no exercise + not eating right = weight gain. I hope to get back on track this week. Looking forward to warmer weather so I can get out and walk at night. This winter has been BRUTAL.”
So far, we’re tracking a 19 pound loss by James, and a 25.2 pound loss by Tom.
