Rock Father vs. Rock Father – It’s been 26 weeks since James Zahn and Tom George (read the kick-off story here) began a year-long journey to not only lose weight, but get fit. These two Work-at-Home Dads had let time and their jobs take their toll on their personal well-being. For each week of the journey, we’ve been checking-in to find out how their efforts are paying off. We’re at the official half-way mark of the year, and today – Sunday, June 29, 2014, both men did their weigh-in, and these are the results…
JAMES ZAHN aka THE ROCK FATHER
Starting Weight: 330 | Last Week: 305 | Current Weight: 301
About Week 26, James states: “Cracking the 300 mark is sooo close. I don’t remember the last time I was below that mark, but I’m getting there. Honestly, the victory this week was a surprise, as my schedule this week made me miss the gym on a few days I would’ve been there. But, I’m coaching Pee Wee Baseball and got some landscaping work in on my yard, so that must’ve helped keep me moving. Additionally, the muscle I’m building by the added strength training continues to show. I leave the gym feeling great.”

Starting Weight: 396 | Last Week: 373 | Current Weight: 375
About Week 26, Tom states: “I had been doing pretty well this week, but then the weekend came and we ate out twice. I ate a ton of sodium-heavy food this weekend. Sodium is no help for a Sunday weigh-in after this weekend. My own fault. This week will be better.”
So far, we’re tracking a 29 pound loss by James, and a 21 pound loss by Tom.
