To kick-off 25 Days of Xmas 2013 here on The Rock Father, it’s only fitting that we get off to a swingin’ start with a band that I’ve been following since the mid-1990s – an outfit that my wife and I have seen live many times, and one that has been providing part of our seasonal soundtrack for over a decade: BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY. For 2013 they’ve released their third foray into the Holiday Music realm following their 1997 WATCHU’ WANT FOR CHRISTMAS EP and 2004’s full-length, EVERYTHING YOU WANT FOR CHRISTMAS. On IT FEELS LIKE CHRISTMAS TIME (Savoy Jazz), BBVD delivers a fat bag of sonic presents that are bound to put a smile on your face, and warm the hearts of even the coldest Scrooge or meanest Grinch. And, they’ve released a trio of music videos to go along with it. Let’s take a look, starting with the excellent title track…
