Oh, the oddities of the DEATH WALKS THE STREETS project…
Indeed, there were many, and in a lot of ways we were ahead of the curve in terms “transmedia” marketing and how different pieces would fit into the bigger puzzle. At one point, at least a half-dozen characters from the DWTS world had dedicated MySpace pages where they were blogging regularly (stories penned by me) with tales that would directly plug into the larger DWTS storyline with seamless continuity. By the time the comics came along, we took things to the next level, calling into action the actress that was set to be our live-action Danielle in the planned films – our Australian friend, Efisia Fele. Her screen test for the first DWTS film was KILLER (I hope I still have a copy somewhere), but what we did for the comics were video blogs that led directly into each issue. Take a look…
