This past Friday, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment officially announced a March 18 release date for FROZEN on Blu-ray and DVD. The title had already been featured in my ongoing list of upcoming home video releases for families, but now we know exactly when you’ll be able to experience it at home. Having missed it in theaters (I told Addie I’d take her and it just didn’t happen), we’re really looking forward to it. Full specs on that release, along with updates on additional Disney releases below…
FROZEN:
Walt Disney Animation Studios presents a chilly twist on one of the most humorous and heartwarming stories ever told. “Disney Animation’s best since The Lion King” (William Bibbiani, CraveOnline) will melt your heart.
Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey — teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven — to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

With the home release of THE PIRATE FAIRY (pre-order) slated for April 1, 2014, Disney has provided The Rock Father with some new photos that showcase the costume designs of Christian Siriano, who consulted on Zarina’s pirate fairy costume. Zarina, voiced by Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”) is a dust-keeper fairy that falls in with a band of pirates, including a cabin boy named James, voiced by Tom Hiddleston (“The Avengers”).
