Grand Moff Tarkin. When the first STAR WARS was released in 1977, not much was known about this member of the Imperial Forces… but it sure seemed like he had Darth Vader at his disposal. In 2015, audiences are getting to know more about Tarkin through STAR WARS REBELS, but the way the character was originally – and villainously – inhabited by actor Peter Cushing will always be remembered. This veteran actor of the Hammer Films’ horror series brought his menace to a galaxy far, far away, and would’ve turned 102, had he lived to see today. Peter Cushing was born on May 26, 1913, and his entry into the Hasbro Force Friday Countdown Calendar celebrates THE VINTAGE COLLECTION action figure of Grand Moff Tarkin that was released in 2012. Up top, the calendar is pictured here at Rock Father HQ, flanked by his earlier, POWER OF THE FORCE figure.
