This is a Giveaway for Grownups. Oh, you weren’t aware that I have a “For Grownups” section here on The Rock Father? Well, now you know. This is The Pop Culture Website for Families that Rock… and that means the whole family… kids and grownups alike. I don’t feature a lot of the grownups content here on the mainpage, but today I’ve got a giveaway from Comedy Central that’s getting a little mainstream infiltration. DRUNK TEXTS TO MYSELF is the debut Comedy Album from TREVOR MOORE, better-known as one of The Whitest Kids U’ Know. The album features a lot of musical comedy (proper review forthcoming), but I have an extra copy to giveaway, so you now have a chance to own it…
TREVOR MOORE – Drunk Texts to Myself
Drunk Texts To Myself serves as the debut album of songs from Moore (a founding member of sketch troupe The Whitest Kids U’ Know). Utilizing genres from rap to metal and country to dub-step, Moore uses his signature comedic styling to explain the perils of child pop stardom and uncover the pope’s money-making potential, uncover the pope’s money-making potential, and prove that Tom Hanks is far from being the nicest guy in Hollywood. The deluxe digital version of Drunk Texts To Myself includes previously released videos for the “Founding Fathers Rap” and “The Pope Rap (Modern Day Profit).” The title track also features an appearance from comedian Reggie Watts.
Moore is currently touring the U.S. with The Whitest Kids U’ Know, whose self-titled show ran for five seasons on IFC and has reached over 100 million views on YouTube. In addition to his work in sketch comedy, Moore is a regular correspondent on NBC’s The Tonight Show and appeared with Christian Slater in the FOX series Breaking In. Moore also co-directed, co-wrote and co-starred in the Fox Searchlight film Miss March.
