I tend to think that my recent experience changing diaper bags was a lot like when my wife switches out her purses. It sure felt like it usually looks, anyway – 5+ years into parenting and this is only the second time I’ve made a full switch – a switch into what is undoubtedly the best bag I’ve ever owned. The Daddy Messenger Bag by Daddy & Co. is a sturdy beast of a bag that packs much-needed functionality into a stylish form, available in the orange-ish “copper” edition (sent here for review) or basic black. After using this here at Rock Father HQ for a bit, I’m including it in my 2014 Holiday Wish Guide as a great “Gift for Dad.”
While this is technically a “diaper” bag, it doesn’t have to be. It can hold up to a 15″ laptop, gym gear, or whatever supplies happen to be a part of your daily routine. The included changing pad is exceptionally-useful, and while not really necessary, the wipes holder is a nice “luxury” touch. The foam divider is removable – a feature very similar to one found in camera bags – and there’s other thoughtful design elements like stroller straps (which my last bag didn’t have) and multiple interior pockets, complimented by an ergonomic strap, smartphone holder and zipperless pockets on the sides that are perfectly sized to hold bottles for kids or grownups.
Rock Father-approved, and available for purchase at the Daddy & Co. official site for around $139 as of this writing.
