Presented in partnership with Mattel’s Monster High…
After recently sharing some thoughts as to whether or not our children can learn from monsters (Spoiler: Yes, they can!) – the students of Monster High have secured a spot in my 2016 Holiday Wish Guide with some toys hand-picked by my resident experts, The Rock Daughters™.
Welcome to Monster High (Blu-ray + DVD + Digital HD Combo Pack)
With so many new students welcomed into the halls of Monster High this year, it’s only fitting that the new movie – an origin story – be at the top of the list for any Monster High fan (new or old). It’s a story about kindness and acceptance in a place where everyone is welcome, and all belong.
Monster High Deadluxe High School Playset
Over the past few years, the High School itself has been done a few different ways, but this one tops them all! With some new colors and a ton of fabulous furniture and accessories, the Monster High stands 4’ tall, and opens up to 5’ wide! This is a true centerpiece for any collection, and it really brings some memories for me – thinking back to some other, iconic Mattel playsets from my own childhood. I had Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain, my girls have Monster High!
Monster High Fright Roast Coffee Play Set
It’s such a simple thing – a coffee cart and a pair of stools, but this little playset packs-in all the accessories that the students of Monster High need to be properly caffeinated. Personally, I love it since I’m a noted coffee enthusiast, but the girls love it since they know that mommy and daddy do love their coffee. Used with or without the High School, this is a lot of fun.
Dance the Fright Away Playset and Dolls
In Welcome to Monster High, much of the climax takes place at the school dance – much like many classic “teen movies.” With the new playset, kids can re-live the action or tell their own stories – and with all the matching dolls, the students are looking their best and ready to rock! For added musical fun, pick up the singing Ari Hauntington doll.
