Get excited, ya filthy animals — Disney+ is going all-in on Home Alone for the film’s 35th anniversary. The streamer has rolled out a month-long celebration packed with real-world experiences, festive food, travel-day surprises, and a sprinkling of movie magic that brings Kevin McCallister’s world straight into ours.
The entire Home Alone franchise is now streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, and fans can even binge a nonstop stream of the first three films — 330 minutes of pure holiday chaos and classic booby-trap brilliance.
“Disney+ is excited to celebrate a movie that’s become such a holiday staple for families everywhere, mine included,” said Zack Jerome, VP, Brand & Marketing Strategy, Disney+. “We can’t wait to bring elements from the film into the real world so people can experience them up close, and if they share my enthusiasm, finally order ‘a lovely cheese pizza just for me’ from Little Nero’s.”
The biggest holiday flex of all is happening in Los Angeles, where Disney+ and Hulu are constructing a record-breaking gingerbread version of the McCallister home. Standing 58 feet long, 42 feet wide, and 25.6 feet tall, the installation uses 5,700 pounds of flour, more than 4,200 eggs, 4,400 gingerbread tiles, and enough edible glue to make Kevin proud. The house is scheduled to open to the public on the evenings of December 18 and 19 at Hollywood and Vine, where visitors can also donate toys to Toys for Tots.
From December 10 to 17, Prince St. Pizza will transform into Little Nero’s at select locations, complete with branded boxes, decor, collectible packaging, and a temporarily renamed classic cheese pizza — “The Lovely Cheese Pizza.” The Studio City shop gets a complete makeover, including a Little Nero’s delivery car parked outside for the perfect holiday selfie.
Holiday travelers won’t miss out either. CLEAR and Disney+ are teaming up for a “No Kevin Left Behind” activation from December 17 to 21 at nine major airports across the country. CLEAR+ Members will receive Home Alone-themed ornaments, and any traveler named Kevin using select CLEAR+ Lanes will score a complimentary CLEAR Concierge service code.
To wrap the celebration with a bow, VIZIO owners can simply shout “KEVIN!” into the VIZIO Voice Remote from December 19 to 31 to launch Disney+ directly into Home Alone.
December just became a full-blown Home Alone holiday — and Kevin would definitely approve.
