Get Out and Get Dewin’: Mtn Dew Launches Outdoor Gear, Gaming Rewards

Published:

Those who know me well know how much I love Mtn Dew — specifically, Diet Mtn Dew.*

That said, Mtn Dew — or “Mountain Dew” for those of us who remember picking it up in cases of 24 glass bottles — is a lifestyle brand that jumps beyond just being a tasty pop (or soda, depending on where you live).

In a bid to celebrate the spirit of adventure and gaming, Mtn Dew unveils not one but two exciting year-long rewards programs this year that embrace the idea of living life to its fullest.

MTN DEW Outdoor Gear Program:

For the outdoor aficionados, Mtn Dew introduces the Outdoor Gear program, aiming to reconnect with its roots as a brand born amidst the Tennessee hills. With an emphasis on adventure, this initiative invites fans to embark on adventures into nature while equipped with premium outdoor gear. By purchasing specially marked packs of Mtn Dew, enthusiasts can accrue points via codes found on the packaging. These points can then be redeemed for a diverse array of outdoor equipment available through DEWOutdoors.com. Additionally, Walmart and Dollar General will offer double points on selected Mtn Dew packs, ensuring even greater rewards for avid adventurers.

JP Bittencourt, Vice President of Marketing at Mtn Dew, expressed enthusiasm about the program, stating, “We know our outdoor fans are always on the lookout for their next adventure, so we wanted to reward them with some cool gear and experiences to continue to pursue their fearless passions. The great outdoors is where Mtn Dew originated, and it continues to be an integral part of the brand’s story as we encourage Dew fans to boldly live free and get outdoors.”

Collaborating with leading brands in camping, fishing, and biking communities, Mtn Dew is stacking in rewards including National Parks Services annual passes, Hydro Flask tumblers, Engel coolers, BioLite grills, GoPros, The North Face sleeping bags and camp duffels, Sea-Doos, and more.

Of course, gaming is also a huge part of the Mtn Dew DNA (hello, Game Fuel!), and gamers continue to be a big part of the action.

MTN DEW Gaming Rewards Program:

Teaming up with gaming giant Xbox, Mtn Dew promises players an extensive range of rewards and exclusive perks to level up their action.

By purchasing Mtn Dew 20 oz. bottles from convenience stores and gas stations nationwide, players can unlock points by redeeming product codes located under bottle caps via MTNDEWGaming.com. These points can be exchanged for rewards available in the program’s always-on marketplace or exclusive drops from the “Dew Game Vault.”

“The gaming community is a force to reckon with and we are so proud to be at the forefront, always finding new ways to fuel gamers with the tools they need to elevate their gameplay and build connections with their crew,” Bittencourt adds.

Gamers can also score 2X points on select 20 oz. bottles of Mtn Dew Overdrive, Purple Thunder, Frost Bite, and Maui Burst at participating retailers including Casey’s, Circle K, Kroger, Walmart, and Dollar General.

*Back in 2006, I was offered an appearance rider for a gig I was doing. I asked for one thing to be in the green room: A 12-pack of Diet Mtn. Dew in 12 oz cans. The event organizers were shocked I didn’t ask for anything more!
