The National Association of Music Merchants is best-known for their annual January trade show, one that most people simply refer to as “NAMM.” Over the years, the annual gathering of musical instrument and gearmakers to meet with retailers has become a music industry reunion of sorts. The show has expanded into a place where your favorite artists will likely be signing, legendary after parties and concerts will rock the Anaheim area, all while promoting the latest in gear for the year to come. For 2017, perhaps the best video I’ve seen to come out of the NAMM show comes from one of my favorite cover artists on YouTube – Leo Moracchioli of Frog Leap Studios. He’s a fellow “Rock Father” (check out his version of “Let it Go” from FROZEN, or Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off”), and for NAMM 2017 he made the trek to California from his home in Norway for a collaboration with some of the best guitarists on YouTube. Check out their version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Californication.”
In addition to Leo, other guitarists featured in the clip are:
