On December 18, 2015, STAR WARS EPISODE VII will arrive in theaters, the first post-RETURN OF THE JEDI installment under the direction of J.J. Abrams. Today, the cast has increased by two as Academy Award-winner Lupita Nyong’o (12 YEARS A SLAVE) and Gwendoline Christie (GAME OF THRONES, THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY – PART 2) have stepped into a galaxy far, far away.
Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow have joined the original stars of the Saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new STAR WARS, which is currently filming in Abu Dahbi. Speaking of which, there’s some mild spoiler-y behind-the-scenes photos that have surfaced via TMZ.
STAR WARS: EPISODE VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing and John Williams returns as the composer.
