Hi there, may I take your order? You want something that’ll bloody your head up, down, and sideways? Stay put — I’ve got just the thing fresh from the kitchen.
That entrée is VITTRA, and its latest album, Intense Indifference (out Sept. 19), is one that Dad and the Mini-Amps are absolutely going nuts over. Facts only.
My son, Corey, is hooked on “Transylvanian Buffet,” while I swear by “Soul Searcher” — both guaranteed to wreck your neck and punch you in the downstairs. Add in “The Leap” and suddenly human flesh is back on the cookout menu.
“Bound by Blood” brings more melody to the table, though the vocals still sound drenched in gasoline. Then along comes “Hate,” looking to bust skulls and leave whiplash behind. “End to It” rips it all apart — a personal favorite.
Closer “Piece by Piece,” a cover of the classic SLAYER cut, takes serious guts. But VITTRA delivers it with grit and aplomb, honoring the original while adding its own stamp.
Bottom line: VITTRA has crushed it with this record. Intense Indifference is a worthy listen — get it in your ears with a quickness.
