Nearly 25 years after Crazy Town topped the charts with its hit single, “Butterfly,” frontman Shifty Shellshock is back in action alongside Black Oxygen (David and Nick Lyle) to reinvent the classic jam.
“Butterfly (New Anthem)” drops the famous bass groove sampled from the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Pretty Little Ditty” in favor of a more low-key, laid-back, beat-driven take.

While it may not have ever been 100% confirmed, it is widely believed that Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock (aka Seth Binzer) is the young actor at the center of this 1991 commercial for Battletoads for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
Binzer was pursuing acting at the time and occasionally shares old photos on his Instagram.
