MUPPETS MOST WANTED hit theaters this weekend, and from what I’m hearing, failed to heat up the box office, bringing in just $16.5M compared to the nearly $30M opening weekend for THE MUPPETS a few years back. Despite my deep, deep love for The Muppets, I have not made it out with Addie to see the new film just yet, and maybe that’s the case with a lot of parents. Or maybe it’s that on the surface (or perhaps deeper), MUPPETS MOST WANTED suffers from what many Muppets projects have in recent years – a lack of originality that finds the group always trying to save a theater or have a caper. It’s a cycle that needs to be broken, and certainly CAN be broken if The Walt Disney Company puts the right creative team in place going forward. $16M is a disappointing haul for Kermit and the gang, and that’s a shame. But I digress, I’m here to share with you the new music video from the MUPPETS MOST WANTED Soundtrack, “I’ll Get You What You Want (Cockatoo in Malibu),” performed by Oscar-winner Bret McKenzie.

Because The Muppets do rock pretty hard, they’re serving as Guest DJs on iTunes Radio this week, with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal and Constantine all breaking out some of their favorite jams.
