About ISTVAN & HIS IMAGINARY BAND:
Istvan, the Jack Cassidy of the Chicago music scene, treads electro-acoustic waters. He plays his Martin acoustic guitar through a series of effects alongside his Korg Univox drum machine Kendall. On any given night a rotating cast of special guest performers add their unique talent to his dark pop songs and odd ball B-sides. Historically disappearing into the ether for long periods of time he has always returned with tall tales and something new to listen to. After the birth of his daughter Istvan not only became a proud father but a writer and performer of childrens songs. The Imaginary Band encompasses all these things.
