This may well be one of the most divisive films of 2018… and one that most people didn’t even know was in the pipeline. A few years back, when I visited the set of Jingle All the Way 2 in Vancouver, I’d heard that director Alex Zamm was working on adaptations of some classic properties – most notably Marvin the Martian, Hong Kong Phooey and Woody Woodpecker. While the first two don’t seem to be moving (some test footage leaked some years back), Woody Woodpecker got the greenlight and became a live-action film starring Timothy Omundson (a guy I’ve also crossed paths with).
