As the year-long celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Brother P-Touch continues (the first was released in late 1988), so concludes my series of organizational posts as a P-Touch Ambassador here on The Rock Father (revisit part one and part two if you’d like). When the folks at Brother USA hooked me up with their PT-H100 labelmaker prior to the holidays, I knew that the only appropriate conclusion for my series would be a job that no one really likes: packing away the Christmas decorations.
We have what I used to view as “a lot” of decorations, an opinion that has changed to a “good” amount after seeing a few of those “Holiday Wars” shows on television – the kind in which families decorate their houses in a manner that rivals only Clark W. Griswold and Santa Claus himself, with most of those residences viewable from the International Space Station and the Death Star. Regardless, we have enough, and every year I do a little bit of a purge, and a little bit of rearranging. Despite this, things always end up mixed up, and there seems to be a question of “where is it?” with at least a few things when we put the decorations up each year. I think I’ve finally fixed that.
While there’s plenty of trinkets and accent items that bring holiday cheer to our home, the biggest category when it comes to packing things up is “tree stuff.” There’s the trees (this year it was the 9′ one in my office, and then the 4′ STAR WARS tree, though occasionally… “there is another”), the lights, the ribbon, and the ornaments.
I had to become an organizational machine…
Sorted. Purged. Packed. Labeled. Racked.
While this may be the end of my Brother 25 series of posts, I can guarantee that when things warm up, I’ll be armed with my PT-H100 when the time comes to properly organize the rest of the garage. Believe me when I tell you… it’s A MESS.
It’s the 25th Anniversary of the Brother P-touch, and in addition to their official site, you can snag special 25th Anniversary deals at office superstores and other retailers Nationwide.
