There have been a lot of different radio controlled, and remote controlled versions of R2-D2 over the years. Heck, we even have an inflatable R2 that’s R/C powered – but one of the more recent came from THE CLONE WARS. A long time ago, it was Kenny Baker who sat inside the Astromech droid – bringing it to life with human qualities despite his beep-boop “voice.” To celebrate the birthday of Baker (born back in 1934),  the 2014 THE CLONE WARS Remote Control R2-D2 is today’s entry into Hasbro’s Force Friday Countdown Calendar as we move toward #ForceFriday on September 4th, the day when new toys from J.J. Abrams’ STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will be available at retailers everywhere! I couldn’t find video of this version, so here’s the OG 1978 one…
