A werewolf curse, a haunted quarry, and more than 4,000 feet of track are heading to Texas.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas has revealed Werewolf Gorge, a new family launch coaster set to debut in 2027 as part of the park’s 35th anniversary celebration. The attraction aims to blur the line between family ride and thrill machine, combining four launches, 32 airtime moments, and a story-driven experience built around cryptids, legends, and a centuries-old curse.
The coaster will stretch 4,120 feet, making it the world’s longest family launch coaster and the longest roller coaster in park history. Riders will hit speeds of up to 45 mph during a two-minute, 36-second adventure through a mysterious quarry where a routine mining tour quickly goes off the rails.
Guests will race through pine forests, dive down a 40-foot drop, navigate near-miss encounters with towering werewolf figures, and blast through a collapsing quarry structure filled with glowing eyes and lurking shadows.
Built by Vekoma, the attraction combines a rare mix of ride elements, including four launches, a mid-course rollback, and a 39-inch height requirement designed to make the experience accessible to a broader range of riders.
The story extends beyond the track. The queue winds through themed spaces tied to the legend of Jasper Bunyan, an eccentric entrepreneur who transformed an abandoned quarry into a roadside attraction dedicated to cryptids and local folklore.
For coaster fans, families, and anyone who enjoys things that go bump in the night, Werewolf Gorge looks ready to howl when it opens in 2027.
