It’s odd for a new toy announcement to land in my inbox at 11:15 on a Friday night, but the folks at Diamond Select Toys hit me with a new product listing tonight that had a few things to pique my interest. The main one, however is the reveal of Muppets Minimates Series 2, set for release in the summer of 2016. Thing is, I somehow missed the announcement that there was a Series 1 slated for spring… or the fact that Muppets Action Figures should be arriving around May. Yes, ABC’s MUPPETS is a growing hit at this point, but Kermit and the gang are timeless – and not since the fabled Palisades Toys line of the early 2000’s (mine currently being played with by The Rock Daughters) has there been this much Muppets excitement in toy form.
Muppets Minimates Two-Packs Series 2
A Diamond Select Toys release! The show must go on! The most sensational, inspirational, Muppet-tational Minimates line ever is back, with another assortment of Muppet characters! Series 2 includes four new two-packs – Reporter Kermit with Rowlf, Dr. Teeth with Animal, Statler with Waldorf and Crazy Harry with Mahna Mahna! Muppets Minimates Two-Packs Series 1
This first series of two-packs features the Muppet Show’s greatest stars, including Kermit with Miss Piggy, Fozzie with Scooter, Gonzo with the Swedish Chef, and Stunt Show Gonzo with a “Batter-Damaged” Swedish Chef. Each Minimates mini-figure features up to 14 points of articulation, as well as interchangeable parts and accessories. Each two-pack is packaged on a full-color blister card.
Muppets Select Action Figures: Series 1
Series 1 gets things started with three different multi-figure packs: Fozzie with Scooter, Gonzo with Camilla, and Kermit with Robin and Bean Bunny. Each figure is in the Select action figure scale, and ranges from 2 to 6 inches tall, with multiple points of articulation. Each multi-pack comes in the famous display-ready Select packaging, with spine artwork for easy shelf reference. Sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios!
