Last Fall, Cartoon Network’s first miniseries OVER THE GARDEN WALL scored big with audiences during its network run – the story of two brothers, Wirt (voiced by Elijah Wood) and Greg (voiced by Collin Dean), who find themselves lost in the “Unknown” – a strange forest adrift in time. From creator Patrick McHale (ADVENTURE TIME), the mini-series has been pegged as a modern perennial classic, and this Fall the adventure will grow through a new DVD release, a 4-issue comic book miniseries, and a limited-edition “For Sara” Cassette Tape. Check out all the details below…
About OVER THE GARDEN WALL: The critically acclaimed and Emmy® Award-nominated, Over the Garden Wall is the story of two brothers, Wirt (voiced by Elijah Wood) and Greg (voiced by Collin Dean), who find themselves lost in the Unknown; a strange forest adrift in time. With the help of a wise old Woodsman (voiced by Christopher Lloyd) and a foul-tempered bluebird named Beatrice (voiced by Melanie Lynskey), Wirt and Greg must travel across this strange land, in hope of finding their way home. At the heart of Over the Garden Wall are two brothers who are looking for direction in different ways. Wirt gets lost in his own thoughts, while Greg gets lost in the wonder and fun of the world around him. Join them as they encounter surprises and obstacles on their journey through the wood.
The visually stunning series offers a soft and nostalgic storybook feeling, inspired by folk art, classical illustrations and features a soundtrack full of Americana-influenced original songs. The ten-part miniseries includes guest voices from film, television, theater and music. They include Chris Isaak, Bebe Neuwirth, John Cleese, Shannyn Sossamon, Jack Jones, Samuel Ramey, Tim Curry, Deborah Voight among others.

OVER THE GARDEN WALL Limited Comic Book Series (KaBOOM!)
KaBOOM!, an award-winning imprint of BOOM! Studios, will release a new four-issue Over the Garden Wall limited series from Patrick McHale and Jim Campbell, a follow-up to the companion one-shot comic that was eagerly snapped up by fans, selling out immediately when it debuted in November 2014 (you can still get it digitally on Kindle). Issue #1 is a new Over the Garden Wall story set between episodes 3 and 4 of the animated series. Wirt and Greg are trying to hitch a ride out of schooltown but end up having to walk. Soon, they come upon two girls playing, and wind up having to keep them entertained so that they don’t wake their giant father! Issue #2 is set between episodes four and five, issue #3 takes place between episodes five and six, and issue #4 serves as a prequel to the entire story.
Pre-order the comics from my associate, Things From Another World.

Limited-Edition “For Sara” Cassette Tape (Mondo)
Fans of Over the Garden Wall are familiar with the “For Sara” cassette, Wirt’s analog love letter to his crush Sara in the form of a heartfelt mix of poetry and clarinet. But very few have actually heard it – until now. In partnership with Cartoon Network, Mondo will take fans deep into The Unknown with the release of the “For Sara” Cassette. This limited-edition release features more than 20 minutes of all-new Over the Garden Wall material, produced and performed by the show’s original composers The Blasting Company and featuring the voice of Elijah Wood.
Available at Mondo in September.
