It’s no secret that when it comes to Hot Wheels (and diecast vehicles in general), I really love the “star cars” – those inspired by television and film, or those with some other kind of pop culture spin. This week, Mattel made the official announcement that for the first time ever, THE BEATLES and HOT WHEELS have teamed-up for a collection of seven vehicles – each meant to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the band’s 1966 single, “The Yellow Submarine,” and the film that followed it two years later.

From the Hot Wheels Basic Car assortment comes the official Yellow Submarine replica as part of the HW Screen Time mini-collection. This version of the iconic Yellow Submarine features track-compatible orange wheels, and will be sold nationwide as part of the basic car assortment (MSRP: $1.09 each).

The Beatles Yellow Submarine Themed Assortment  (MSRP: $1.09 each) is a collection of six cars that celebrate the art of the iconic 1968 Yellow Submarine film. John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, the Yellow Submarine and the Blue Meanies all get a fantastic graphical treatment on the coolest Hot Wheels castings.

All of these vehicles made their official debut today, June 9, 2016 at The Cirque du Soleil-managed Beatles Shop at the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. They’ll be available June 15, 2016 at Walmart Stores in the U.S., with International retailers varying by location.
