As first announced here on THE ROCK FATHER back in March, a new TRANSFORMERS animated series is headed for the Hub Network next spring, and as first revealed by Variety, it now has a very familiar title… TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE. The new series will take place in the years after the battle between Autobots and Decepticons in TRANSFORMERS PRIME, finding the redesigned Bumblebee assigned to Earth to deal with a new crop of Decepticons, while leading a new band of Autobots, including Sideswipe and Fixit (pictured below).
TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE features to voice talents of Will Friedle (BATMAN BEYOND, BOY MEETS WORLD) returning as Bumblebee, along with Darren Criss (GLEE) as Sideswipe, Mitchell Whitfield (TMNT) as Fixit, Constance Zimmer (ENTOURAGE, HOUSE OF CARDS) and Ted McGinley (REVENGE OF THE NERDS, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN).
Additionally, a commercial has surfaced on YouTube (albeit not on an official channel) revealing that the “Transfourth of July” marathon will return this year, starting at 10am CT on 7/4, celebrating 30 Years of TRANSFORMERS and offering a sneak-peek at ROBOTS IN DISGUISE:
