Rock Father vs. Rock Father – It’s been twelve weeks since James Zahn and Tom George (read the kick-off story here) began a year-long journey to not only lose weight, but get fit. These two Work-at-Home Dads had let time and their jobs take their toll on their personal well-being. For each week of the journey, we’ve been checking-in to find out how their efforts are paying off. This past Sunday (March 23, 2014), both men did their weigh-in… and these are the results.
JAMES ZAHN aka THE ROCK FATHER
Starting Weight: 328.4 | Last Week: 310 | Current Weight: 312
About Week 12, James states: “Three months into this already? A quarter way through? Results aren’t moving swiftly enough for me, as it’s a little loss/little gain/little loss. Weather is starting to break, which means more activity outside. I’ve also got my crosshairs on a new fitness center to join, and am looking to seriously increase the workouts moving forward. I even have some new lifting gloves and wraps ready to roll, and am looking forward to tearing it up. I gained two pounds this past week. Poo.”

About Week 12, Tom states: “I’m glad I ended up down a pound this week. I had to travel to Iowa City twice in the past week, and eating on the road isn’t an easy thing to do. I’m SO glad it is starting to slowly show signs of spring. I can’t wait to be able to get out and walk. I’ve been in a bit of a slump for the last month, but warmer weather will make exercise easier.”
So far, we’re tracking a 17 pound loss by James, and a 26.2 pound loss by Tom.
