2014 Rock Father Fitness Challenge: Week 23 Results

THE ROCK FATHERRock Father vs. Rock Father – It’s been 23 weeks since James Zahn and Tom George (read the kick-off story here) began a year-long journey to not only lose weight, but get fit. These two Work-at-Home Dads had let time and their jobs take their toll on their personal well-being. For each week of the journey, we’ve been checking-in to find out how their efforts are paying off. We needed a little re-set here these past couple of weeks, but today we’re back for Sunday, June 8, 2014. Both men did their weigh-in, and these are the results…


james23Starting Weight: 330 | Last Week: 308 | Current Weight: 305

About Week 23, James states: “After our reset, I changed my starting weight to 330 from 328 as that’s where I personally started tracking – instead of the 328 from when we started posting. Currently down 25 pounds, I can see 300 in my sights!”

tom23Starting Weight: 396 | Last Week: 375.4 | Current Weight: 375.4

About Week 23, Tom states: I was even this week. I have started walking a lot more. I try to walk a couple miles each day. I did eat too much this week though. I need cut back my sodium and keep walking. That coupled with counting calories will get me back on track. My goal is still to lose 14 pounds this month.

So far, we’re tracking a 25 pound loss by James, and a 21 pound loss by Tom.
