When news came down that Hasbro was reviving JEM for a live-action motion picture, I was immediately on-board. Even prior to having two girls of our own to enjoy them with,  my wife and I had the 1985 JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS cartoon series here on DVD, and I still hold fond memories of playing with my sister and her JEM dolls back in the mid-1980s, this along with Mattel’s JEM competitor, BARBIE & THE ROCKERS. On October 23 (my birthday), Universal Pictures will bring JEM AND THE HOLOGRAMS to theaters everywhere, and thus I’m including it in my 2015 Movie Preview as one of THE ROCK FATHER’s “Most Anticipated” of the year.
