2016 Should’ve been the year of the GHOSTBUSTERS, but unlike the supernatural forces that the cast of the new film faced-off against on screen, the battle against internet trolls was a little tougher to defeat. The folks at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Boo’d us at Rock Father HQ this week, delivering a a surprise package to our doorstep. In partnership with Walmart, they’re spreading the word about the growing #BooItForward movement in which you mysteriously “Boo” your neighbors with a similarly-themed selection of Halloween treats, letting them know that they’ve “Been Boo’d,” and encouraging them to #BooItForward to another neighbor. The art of Booing has really picked up steam over the past few years, and this year it’s got a spooktacular theme thanks to GHOSTBUSTERS.
