The Rock Father’s 31 Days of Halloween: Day 3 – If your kids like comic books (or you’re thinking about introducing them to the world of comics), then Halloween is a prime time to do so as Diamond Comic Distributors partners with select publishers and retailers for Halloween ComicFest 2012, a first-ever all-ages celebration with FREE Comics, a Costume Contest, and more.
While Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, thus making it coincide with “New Comic Day,” several retailers are doing their Halloween ComicFest promotions starting on the weekend before, when many communities will observe official trick-or-treating. Head over to the official ComicFest website to find a store near you, then be sure be sure to check out their store-specific special events. Kids will be able to get some free comics (much like FREE Comic Book Day) from an assortment of four full-length books, or fifteen mini-comics. FYI – some stores may set limits on how many you can score.
Offerings include BATMAN and SCOOBY-DOO, STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN/AVENGERS, TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, GHOSTBUSTERS, TALES FROM THE CRYPT, and more.
