I’ve had my eye on LEGO Monster Fighters for awhile now, despite currently being in Duplo mode here at Rock Father HQ. With a plotline seemingly inspired by THE MONSTER SQUAD (or more likely, the Universal Monsters that inspired it), there’s few other toys on the market right now that fit Halloween as perfectly as these. That said, LEGO Monster Fighters are a fitting feature for Day 4 of The Rock Father’s 31 Days of Halloween.
Kids (and grownups!) can pit Dr. Rodney Rathbone and his crew of Monster Fighters against Lord Vampyre and his ghoulish friends with the fate of the world at stake. Will Lord Vampyre collect enough “Moonstones” to make the Sun go dark forever? Well, that’s totally up to whoever is playing.
With sets including vehicles and lairs for both heroes and villains, it’s easy to get playing on the low-end of things, but hard to resist dropping some major cash for the Vampyre Castle or the Haunted House (which I’ve previously featured).
