The DVD has a run time of approximately 120 minutes. In addition to featuring the eight fun-filled learning adventures below, this DVD also includes special features – an interactive game, coloring pages, a dinosaur reference guide and information for parents.

Episodes include:

Dinosaurs in the Snow” – Buddy and his Pteranodon family ride the Dinosaur Train to the North Pole – where it’s cooler, and the skies are dark all winter long! The kids get to play in the snow and slide on a frozen pond for the first time.

Cretaceous Conifers” – The whole Pteranodon family have fun celebrating Mom’s favorite holiday, Winter Solstice. They learn about large conifer (evergreen) trees and help decorate them at a holiday party.

Night Train” – Dad, Buddy and Tiny take a special ride on the Dinosaur Train at night, learning about animals that are active after dark, culminating at the Big Pond for a nature walk under the full moon.

Fossil Fred” – Buddy, Tiny and Don play “detective” and search around the Big Pond for fossils. The kids end up finding an entire skeleton of a Jurassic dinosaur.

King Cryolophosaurus” – Buddy, Tiny, Don and Mom meet a reclusive, singing dinosaur named King who has a big swooping crest on his head and a voice that sounds an awful lot like Elvis Presley.

Dinosaur Block Party” – The Pteranodon family hosts a block party to introduce their new neighbors, the Lambeosaurus family, to all the other neighborhood creatures. The different species all join together to fly, dive, fish, race and especially, to rock the block!

Surprise Party” – Shiny, Tiny and Don throw a surprise party for Buddy on the Dinosaur Train and invite a whole caboose full of his friends!

Flowers for Mom” – The kids go to the Big Pond to look for flowers to give to Mom on her special Mothers Day. They find many different flowers while following a very busy bee.

The DVD run time is approximately 100 minutes. In addition to featuring the following seven stories, the DVD includes special features – printable activities and coloring pages as well as bonus live-action music videos, which interweave scenes from the show with footage of the show’s musical composers singing “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” and “You Are Special.”

“Daniel Tiger’s Happy Holidays” will also be sold separately. This DVD will be available in stores and online October 14.

“Snowflake Day!” (Double Episode) – In this special half-hour holiday musical episode, Daniel prepares for his big role as the snowflake in the neighborhood’s Snowflake Day Show! All of the neighbors pitch in to make the celebration a true success!

“Something Special for Dad” – When Dad receives a letter from Grandpere, Daniel sees how happy Dad is. Daniel really loves Dad, so he decides to send him a letter too. Then he goes to the Post Office with Mom, where he learns how letters are sorted and mailed. He even joins Mr. McFeely on his “speedy delivery” to give Dad his very special letter!

“I Love You, Mom” – Daniel wants to surprise Mom Tiger with her favorite banana bread because he knows how much she likes it – and “making something is one way to say I love you.” He and Dad go to Baker Aker’s Bakery, where they learn about the bread-making process. They return home to surprise Mom and she happily shares the banana bread gift with them too!

“Thank You, Grandpere Tiger!” – Grandpere Tiger comes to visit, but Daniel is sad that Grandpere can’t stay for the special “Thank You Day” celebration later that day. Daniel learns to be thankful for the time they DO have together, and is then surprised when Grandpere appears at the celebration after all!

“Neighborhood Thank You Day” – It’s Thank You Day in the Neighborhood – a special celebration when each of the neighbors puts a note in the “Thank You Tree” as a way to say thank you to one another. Daniel has trouble deciding who of his neighbors he wants to thank with his note. The episode ends with a Thank You Day feast with all the neighbors celebrating together.

“Katerina’s Costume” – Daniel and Katerina are at Miss Elaina’s Museum-Go-Round to make their costumes for Dress Up Day. While Daniel and Miss Elaina know exactly what they want to be, Katerina is having a harder time deciding on just the right costume. Eventually she comes up with a very clever idea!

“Dress Up Day” – It’s Dress Up Day in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and it’s time for the annual main street parade! The children visit all the stores, showing off their fancy costumes and receiving different stickers from their neighbors.
