If the past few months have taught us anything, it’s that people are really enjoying “unboxing” videos, and hence we have our Rock Father TV Original Series UNBOXED. This time we’re doing things a little bit different, however, presenting a special #PlayLikeHasbro Edition under UNBOXED + PLAY, which is exactly what it sounds like: some raw play footage following the Unboxing. It’s always interesting to see what the girls will gravitate toward first, as well as what toys will have complete staying power. In this house, you absolutely cannot go wrong with anything from the BABY ALIVE line, and I’m reminded of this constantly when I’m asked to assist in feeding, cleaning and diapering one of the multitude of Baby Alive dolls we have. Depending on the day, it looks like a dolly daycare in here, and that’s okay – because my little ones love nurturing their dolls, and many of their friends (girls and boys alike) do too!
Here we have the Sips ‘N Cuddles doll, which just so happens to be one of the most basic toys in the Baby Alive line… and it’s classic. This is the pure “given-her-water/wet-the-diaper” doll. As seen in the video above, her feeding bottle also provides nourishment to TRANSFORMERS if need be.
The interesting thing for the AVENGERS, TRANSFORMERS and JURASSIC WORLD toys in this assortment is that they’re all part of Hasbro’s Playskool Heroes line. That means that the human figures are all the same size, and that makes for some fun mix-and-match options. If HULK wants to ride inside of TRANSFORMER Boulder’s travel compartment, that’s totally cool! If the little JURASSIC PARK guy that looks suspiciously like Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) in THE BIG LEBOWSKI would like to become a stowaway on THE AVENGERS 4-in-1 Hellicarrier, that’s also perfectly fine… and if WAR MACHINE wants to wrangle a T-Rex, he has more than ample power to do so!
While Baby Alive became Addie’s primary interest from this box, Finn is all about the figures – and the dinosaur. In fact, this lights-and-sounds Tyrannosaurus has already accompanied us in the car, and at restaurants. That’s a real honor for a new toy.
