On December 23, 2015, ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS are back in an all-new movie, THE ROAD CHIP. Growing up as a kid watching THE CHIPMUNKS cartoon as part of the NBC Saturday morning lineup (along with the SMURFS, MR. T, the SNORKS, and PUNKY BREWSTER), I have a real soft spot for the little guys (and their female counterparts, THE CHIPETTES). IDEAL Toys even made a series of action figures, along with the “On Tour Van” and “Curtain Call Theater” – and my sister and I had them, and they were awesome! Many concerts were performed with those little figures (I still remember the distinctive cloth outfits), and in some ways, that probably shaped who I am today. Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip: Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in New York City…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.
