Drowning Pool isn’t easing up.

The multi-platinum hard rock veterans have joined forces with rising active rock artist Sorry X for “The Wrong One,” a high-impact new single out now via SBG Records. The collaboration ignited after the band came across Sorry X’s brutal online reinterpretation of their breakout anthem “Bodies.”

“We stumbled on Sorry X’s cover of ‘Bodies’ and were impressed by the sheer brutality of her vocals. On top of that, Alexa sings amazingly. We knew we had to collaborate on something, so we reached out,” says CJ Pierce.

Sorry X didn’t hesitate.

“I’m a huge fan of Drowning Pool, and I grew up listening to the 2000s nu-metal era, so I was stoked when they reached out to me. I’m really proud of how this track came together, and I hope fans will feel the intensity and raw energy of this collaboration.”

Produced by Hiram Hernandez (Magnolia Park, Bush), “The Wrong One” delivers the muscle longtime Drowning Pool fans expect, while Sorry X injects a multi-genre edge that keeps the track unpredictable. The result hits hard without leaning on nostalgia.

More than two decades into their run, Drowning Pool continues to amplify new voices in heavy music. With “The Wrong One,” they prove the spark still burns — and this time, it’s shared.
