As I sit here in my office at Rock Father HQ with Little Finley in-between taking Addie to school and picking her up, we’re listening to “Big Truck,” the third track on the forthcoming new album from the BARI KORAL FAMILY ROCK BAND. It seems like that would make it a good time to tell all of you that Bari and the crew have announced a May 13, 2014 release date for THE APPLE TREE & THE HONEY BEE, their fourth full-length album.

Recorded in Nashville with producer Brad Jones (whose credits include JOSH ROUSE, DOLLY PARTON, MATTHEW SWEET, and KOTTONMOUTH KINGS), there’s definitely some added twang here, and our early listen (full review coming soon) reveals a fine new album for the spring.

“Being in Nashville and working with Brad Jones was magical. He told me, ‘I want you to sit back, relax and let me be in the driver’s seat,’ so I opened myself up to all that Brad had to offer, which was a lot! What a gift it was to let Brad ‘drive’ this album. He added his high level of musicianship, which is off the charts (he sings and plays bass, piano, and many stringed instruments), and he brought in Nashville guitarist Dan Cohen and backing vocalist Molly Felder to round out our band’s sound.”Bari Koral
